BSC-BED FOUR YEAR INTEGRATED DEGREE PROGRAM
(Intake Capacity – 50 Seats)
Overview:
The B.Sc.-B.Ed. four-year integrated degree program offers an exceptional pathway for individuals aspiring to impart technical and applied science knowledge. This integrated course is tailor-made for students who have successfully completed their 10+2 board exams with a background in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It's important to note that candidates with a 10+2 background in commerce or humanities are not eligible for the B.Sc.-B.Ed. course.
Educational Philosophy:
The primary objective of the B.Sc.-B.Ed. integrated course is to cultivate a profound knowledge base in science while honing essential teaching skills. Through a balanced curriculum, students not only acquire theoretical insights into scientific principles but also develop problem-solving abilities crucial for their future roles as educators.
Dual Degree Structure:
The B.Sc.-B.Ed. program is unique as it combines two distinct degrees within its four-year duration. It encompasses a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, focusing on a comprehensive science curriculum, and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree, emphasizing pedagogical skills and teaching methodologies. Successful completion of this integrated course qualifies individuals to pursue a career as primary, secondary, or high school teachers.
Time-Saving Advantage:
One of the key advantages of the BSc BEd integrated course is its efficiency in time utilization. By integrating both degrees into a four-year program, aspirants save a valuable year compared to pursuing the BSc and BEd degrees separately. This streamlined approach underscores the program's commitment to providing a comprehensive education while optimizing the student's academic journey.
Eligibility Criteria:
Prospective candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc.-B.Ed. integrated program must adhere to specific eligibility requirements, including:
- Successful completion of the PTET (Pre-Teacher Education Test) examination.
- Attainment of a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent, with a focus on PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) as core subjects.
- Relaxation in the eligibility criteria, with 45% minimum for candidates from SC/ST and other reserved categories.
Fee Structure:
The annual fee for the B.Sc.-B.Ed. the integrated course is set at INR 26,880, applicable for the entire four-year duration.
Scholarship Facilities:
In reaffirming our commitment to removing financial barriers that may impede the academic pursuits of our students, we proudly support over a range of scholarships. We strongly encourage prospective applicants to delve into these opportunities as they embark on their educational journey, enhancing not only their learning experience but also fostering an environment of inclusivity and support.

Course Structure:
Aligned with the criteria set by UGC and NCTE, the B.Sc.-B.Ed. program is designed to shape future educators. Over the four-year duration, students concurrently pursue their science and education degrees. The program emphasizes theoretical knowledge, practical proficiency in diverse scientific fields, and the development of effective problem-solving skills. A pivotal aspect of the curriculum includes a twenty-week internship program, integrating four weeks of school observation to enhance practical aptitude.
This integrated approach not only streamlines the academic journey but also imparts experiential knowledge. The B.Sc.-B.Ed. course serves as a strategic amalgamation of science and education, allowing students to attain both degrees within four years, thus saving a year of study time. Prospective educators passionate about teaching science or other subjects can enroll in the B.Sc.-B.Ed. program, gaining expertise in teaching methodologies.
