The Basic B.Sc. Nursing program is a four-year undergraduate course that combines classroom instruction and practical sessions. Our institute provides facilities for students to gain clinical experience under the guidance of faculty members in various clinical and community settings. Our nursing program prepares graduates to provide comprehensive care across the lifespan in diverse healthcare settings. We focus on the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes, competencies, and skills outlined by the Council's standards. Graduates have various opportunities in practice, education, management, and research.

AIMS:

The aims of our undergraduate nursing program are as follows:

  1. To produce knowledgeable and competent nurses and midwives with critical thinking skills, who are caring, motivated, assertive, and responsive to the changing needs of the profession, healthcare delivery system, and society.
  2. To prepare nurses and midwives to assume professional responsibilities and provide healthcare services in various settings.
  3. To empower nurses and midwives to make independent decisions within their scope of practice, protect individual and group rights, and conduct research to promote evidence-based practice.
  4. To prepare graduates to assume roles as practitioners, teachers, supervisors, and managers in healthcare settings.

OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the B.Sc. Nursing program, our graduates will be able to:

ELIGIBILITY/ ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Mayurakshi College of Nursing admits candidates based on their eligibility as determined by the RUHS Entrance Exam. The college follows the annual admission cycle as specified by RUHS Jaipur.


Nationality and Age

Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the age requirements. Female candidates should be at least 17 years old but not exceed 28 years old, while male candidates should be within 25 years old, all as of December 31st of the admission year.


Minimum Qualifications

For admission to the Basic B.Sc. Nursing course, candidates must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary School Certificate examination in the Science stream with a Biology group. The examination should be conducted by a recognized board under the 10+2 pattern of Secondary Education. Candidates should have studied all the compulsory subjects and the optional subjects of the Medical group, which include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Alternatively, candidates may present qualifications equivalent to the above-stated requirements as recognized by the University of Rajasthan. The application form must be submitted with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (with a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined at the qualifying examination. Additionally, candidates must meet the medical fitness criteria.

  1. RUHS provisional Allotment letter
  2. Online Filled Counseling Application Form
  3. Original counseling Fee Challan of ₹500 (RUHS/College copy) or receipt of online transaction
  4. Marksheet of RUHS entrance exam

Original documents with two sets of photocopies:

  1. Marksheet of 10th Standard
  2. Board Certificate of 10th Standard
  3. Marksheet of 12th Standard
  4. Board Certificate of 12th Standard
  5. Leaving or Transfer / Migration Certificate
  6. Gap Certificate Affidavit (if applicable)
  7. Medical Fitness Certificate (by Registered Medical Practitioner)
  8. Domicile Certificate
  9. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  10. Minority Certificate (if applicable)
  11. Photocopy of Aadhar Card
  • Ten recent passport-size colour photographs (without cap and goggles), with the candidate's name written on the backside of the photographs
  • A set of scanned copies of all these original documents should be deposited in JPEG format.

Note: Candidates are advised to keep a set of scanned copies in JPEG format and photocopies of all documents for personal use, as the original documents will be returned only after the completion of the course.



FEES STRUCTURE


The fee structure for B.Sc. Nursing Course is as follows:

  • Admission Form Fee: ₹1,000
  • Tuition Fee: ₹85,000 annually (session 2022-23) or as prescribed by the state government.
  • Enrolment fees: As prescribed by the University
  • Examination Fee: As prescribed by the University (Paid by students on the online portal)

Please note the following:

  • The tuition fee must be paid every year after the completion of the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semester examinations, regardless of the student's performance in those respective semesters.
  • If a student wishes to withdraw from the program during the course duration, there will be no refund of the paid fees as per the guidelines set by the Government of Rajasthan and the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. The student will also be required to pay penalty prescribed by the Government of Rajasthan.
  • The fees mentioned above are subject to change. It is advisable to refer to the latest information and guidelines provided by the college and the concerned authorities.

SCHOLARSHIP FACILITY

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of Rajasthan provides scholarship facility to the students of SC, ST, especially disabled, widows, destitute and other socially and economically weaker sections of the society. PROGRAMME STRUCTURE


The B.Sc. Nursing course at our nursing college follows the regulations set by the Indian Nursing Council and the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. The course has a total duration of eight semesters, which is equivalent to four years, including an internship period. It is mandatory for students to complete the course within a maximum of eight years from the time of entry.

Note:
  • Eighth semester internship means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2 weeks of evening and night shift duties are included.
  • Internship should be carried out as 8 hours per day @ 48 hours per week. (22 weeks × 48 hours per week = 1056 hours)
  • Students during internship will be supervised by nursing teachers.
  • Eighth semester examination to be held only after completing internship.
